Lando Norris warns that returning to racing F1 cars will be a huge "shock" for the body.

After being a wildcard entry in the Supercars Eseries on Wednesday, Lando Norris has said he would love to try the real thing in future.

It is never really quiet with Norris around and it was no different on Wednesday morning in the UK when Norris overcame more connection issues and a botched qualifying to get stuck into three rounds of racing at the iconic Spa circuit.

Most of chaos came in the second race, which was a reverse grid event, where Norris was making some lovely progress through the midfield before getting taken out on the run up to Eau Rouge.

Norris subsequently drove backwards and ended up blocking the pit lane before some sense of calmness and normality was restored.

After his morning of Supercars racing was complete, he said he would love to have a go in a real one and it just so happens his boss at McLaren has one he could drive around.

“One hundred per cent,” Norris said when asked if he would fancy trying out a Supercar for real.

“In fact Zak Brown has one. We went to a track day once a couple of years ago. I didn’t get to drive it there but he said he’d allow me to drive it if we ever go out on a track day again in his V8.

“I would love to. Especially because it’s so fun to drive on a simulator. I’m sure it’s even better to drive on the actual race track. Yeah, it’s a handful but in a good way. It’s a lot of fun to drive.”
