Formula 1 chief Chase Carey is in talks with Singapore regarding a new long-term contract to race at the Marina Bay circuit.
Formula 1 first headed to Singapore in 2008, with the grand prix marking the sport’s first foray into night racing.
This season’s grand prix is the last on the current five-year deal, however, Carey has revealed that Liberty Media are already in talks with Singapore regarding another extension.
“We’re actively engaged with our partner here,” he said during this week’s All That Matters conference.
“Singapore is certainly a race we’re proud of.
“It’s our goal to try and reach a deal that enables us to continue here.”
