Georgie Thompson has reportedly stepped down from her role as Sky Sports F1 presenter.
Thompson joined the Sky F1 team at the start of the 2012 season following 11 years with Sky Sports News, but it appears the relationship is over after just over the year.
The 35-year-old has not been part of Sky Sports' F1 Show since its return in 2013, with Natalie Pinkham hosting it alongside Ted Kravitz.
According to the Daily Mail, 'Thompson turned her back on the sport after becoming disillusioned at her lack of primetime billing.
'Thompson informed Sky of her decision in the build-up to this season's first F1 show, which aired on February 15. Her profile has since been airbrushed out of the team shot on the Sky Sports F1 website.'
The report adds: 'But it is understood that Thompson wanted a bigger role within the team after playing second fiddle to main presenter Simon Lazenby, and chose to leave after producers failed to promise an improved billing.'
Although Sky wants to keep hold of Thompson, some reports suggest she could be on her way to BT Sport where she will team up with former BBC F1 presenter Jake Humphrey.
