Formula 1 should be in for a good race with lots of overtaking when it heads to Sochi for the inaugural Russian GP.

Preparations for the October race are continue with organisers confident that everything will be complete in time for the grand prix.

Those preparations include drumming up enthusiasm with the Sochi Autodrom press office putting out a very brief interview with Charlie Whiting.

According to the F1 race director, the Russian GP should be a high-speed event with plenty of overtaking.

"It's a high quality track," he said of the Black Sea venue. "It's clear that everything has been done really nicely.

"It will be a fast track, and I think it will be a really competitive track as there will be at least two or three places where drivers can overtake properly.

"I think that will be a very interesting track and a very spectacular race."

Asked about the number of DRS zones at the Autodrom, Whiting added: "Two. One in between Turn One and Two and the second one between Turns 10 and 12."
