Force India hopeful Jules Bianchi says the wet running at Barcelona was a "useful experience" as he plots his F1 debut.
After seven days of sunshine during pre-season testing, the rain finally came down at the Circuit de Catalunya on Friday.
Bianchi was in action, completing 96 laps in mixed conditions with a best time of 1:25.732, as he bid for the role of Paul di Resta's 2013 team-mate.
"It was good to be back working with the team and to feel the car in all conditions when the track was both dry and wet," said the Frenchman.
"It's more useful experience for me.
"We did most of our dry running this morning and then did our aero work this afternoon when the track was wet.
"We didn't manage to do the long runs we planned because it was so wet, but we still managed to look at a lot of things."
