'Fit' Bernie not ready to quit

Bernie Ecclestone remains as defiant as ever when it comes to his future in F1, insisting this won't be his last season.

His future as Formula One commercial rights holder is still under a cloud due to his legal battles and there have been talk that the sport's stakeholders could look to replace him before the end of this year.

However, in an interview with Reuters the 83-year-old revealed that he is still up for the job and is not ready to pack it in just yet.

"At the moment I'm quite fit. I wouldn't say that this was going to be one of my last seasons," he said.

The 2014 season kicks off in Melbourne this weekend and it is shaping up to be an exciting one as Red Bull, who have dominated the past few years, look set to struggle early on due to the rule changes.

"I hope every race is going to be like a wet race," Ecclestone said. "Unpredictable is the word."
