If pre-season testing is anything to go by then Sebastian Vettel is set for his most difficult campaign in F1, but Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz believes the German is ready for the challenge.

With Red Bull having the best car on the grid the past four seasons, Vettel helped himself to four consecutive Drivers' Championships.

However, things are likely to be a little tougher this year as Red Bull's RBR10 struggled during testing and many are actually wondering if they will see the chequered flag in Australia.

Mateschitz, though, says you won't see Vettel going into hiding because if the current situation.

"Sebastian has had an absolute winning car in four and a half of his five years at Red Bull," he told dpa. "I don't think that he has a problem to cope with the current situation. He, like the whole team, will accept the challenge."

Most of Red Bull's problems stem from the engine rule changes for this season, but Mateschitz admits it's good for the sport that things have been tweaked.

"There are two hearts beating in my chest. As a Formula One fan, I am glad that it is more exciting again and our dominance is perhaps over," he said.

"From the responsibility of my role in our Formula One team, I see the latest facts we must analyse and the challenges we have to accept and overcome."
