Nico Rosberg was reprimanded by the FIA for an incident involving Sergio Perez during the second free practice session in Bahrain on Friday.

Rosberg's Mercedes slowed abruptly early on in the session and Perezin his Force India had to swerve around the Drivers' Championship leader to avoid a collision.

Subsequently, the FIA handed the German his first reprimand of the season for slowing "unnecessarily and recklessly in front of car 11 between Turns 13 and 14".

Rosberg set the second fastest time of the session behind his team-mate Lewis Hamilton as Mercedes continued to set the pace.

Perez, meanwhile, was quicker than his team-mate Nico Hulkenberg to secure a spot in the top 10.

Meanwhile, Esteban Gurierrez was investigated for impeding Felipe Massa on the same part of the track, but the race stewards opted against taking action against the Sauber driver.
