Lotus team principal Gerard Lopez has revealed that Pastor Maldonado will remain with the team next season.
The Venezuelan, and his major financial backer PDVSA, joined the Enstone squad from Williams at the start of this campaign, but it has been troubled one for both driver and team.
Maldonado, who won the Spanish GP back in 2012, is yet to score any points while he has also failed to see the chequered flag in four races.
However, he will get another season to show what he is capable of as he will remain with Lotus next year.
"I don't want to give too much away, but as it's halfway through the season I can confirm 50 per cent of our driver line-up for 2015 as Pastor is with us for next year," Lopez told the team's official website.
"Despite the difficulties we've had so far this season, he recognises our true potential as a team and we recognise his true potential as a driver.
"We will achieve great things together."
It remains to be seen if Romain Grosjean stays with the team as the Frenchman has previously admitted that he won't hesitate to leave in his pursuit of glory.
"Both Romain and Pastor had remained positive and focused," said Lopez. "This is a real credit to them.
"They know the effort required to achieve strong results and they are working as hard as ever to ensure we can address every issue and make the most of every opportunity.
"Romain is well aware of the prowess of Enstone after having finished on the podium for the past two years in one of our cars."
