Rosberg wants internal discussions

Nico Rosberg has echoed Toto Wolff's claims that Lewis Hamilton cost him a shot of victory in Hungary and also called for more team talks.

Tension is threatening to boil over at Mercedes after Hamilton refused to obey team orders from the pitwall and allow his team-mate through at Budapest, saying he was "very, very shocked" that he was asked to move aside.

He also dismissed reports that it was about questioning authority adding that "it was just a case of not giving a single point away".

Although he feels for Hamilton, Mercedes motorsport boss Wolff believes "if Lewis had let Nico go, Nico could have won the race" and says they could be forced to rethink team orders following the latest debacle.

Asked for his view, Rosberg said: "That's so theoretical. I don't know ... ah, no, no, no, let's go by what Toto said.

"He's looked at all the data and things like that, so let's go by his opinion. He's the best person to know that. We have to discuss internally. That's the best way forward for us as a team."

Having finished fourth in Budapest, Rosberg will take an 11-point lead into the summer break, but he knows the rivalry with Hamilton won't ease up.

"It's going to remain intense, definitely, but that's natural because it's both of us going for race wins every race," he said. "And that it's going to be intense is clear, and it will remain so until the end of the year, I hope to all your happiness and excitement."
