Lauda dismisses Vettel rumours

Never one to mince his words, Niki Lauda has rejected reports linking Sebastian Vettel with a move to Mercedes.

Red Bull's motorsport advisor Dr Helmut Marko recently claimed that Mercedes are looking to partner Vettel and Nico Rosberg in 2016 so that they can have an all-German team.

Vettel, whose Red Bull deal runs until the end of next year, remains coy over his future, but concedes he will have to listen to any offers that come his way.

"I think any offer has to be considered but nothing has changed," the four-time World Champion said. "I still don't talk about these things."

Mercedes have already tied down Rosberg on a new deal while the team have also opened discussions with Lewis Hamilton, whose current contract runs until the end of 2015.

When asked about the Vettel rumours during this weekend race in Hungary, Lauda replied: "Absolute bulls**t. I can tell you that nobody from this team had spoken with him. Why would we want to? We already have the two best drivers. Why would we want to change that?"
