Alonso: Good car will prevent multi-21 row

Fernando Alonso concedes that Ferrari will miss Felipe Massa, but insists there won't be any problems between himself and Kimi Raikkonen if they have the right machinery.

The Scuderia's decision to re-sign Raikkonen for the 2014 season has seen Massa move to Williams, ending a four-year partnership with the Spaniard at Maranello.

Alonso admits Massa's departure is a loss to the team and also concedes the fact that Raikkonen doesn't talk a lot will make the hole even bigger.

"Definitely, Felipe is a hard worker. He works day and night for the team to improve the car's performance," the double World Champion told Brazil's TotalRace. "I don't know Kimi, but rumours say he talks little and is a little more isolated. Therefore Ferrari can miss him [Massa]."

The 32-year-old, though, is confident there won't be issues on the track if Ferrari produce a quality car, poking fun at Red Bull and their multi-21 system which caused some tension between team-mates Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber.

He added: "What we have to do now is focus on producing a good car during winter. If it's good, like the Red Bull, then it doesn't matter if there's a multi-21, multi-35 or anything like that because the atmosphere in the team will be excellent."
