Sebastian Vettel believes Daniel Ricciardo will do his best to give him a "hard time" when the two team up next season.
Last week Red Bull Racing announced that Ricciardo will replace compatriot Mark Webber as Vettel's 2014 team-mate.
It will be the first time that Ricciardo has had a taste of a top level machine in Formula One having previously only driven for Toro Rosso.
However, his new team-mate reckons the 24-year-old has what it takes to push him hard.
"I'm sure he will try very hard to give me a hard time and I will try to do the exact same thing," said Vettel.
"Next year there's a lot of work ahead and we are both looking forward to the new stuff that is coming.
"We know it's a lot of work but hopefully we have a competitive car and can prove that we are hopefully two of the best."
