Daniel Ricciardo will give Toro Rosso his full concentration over the last eight races of this season as he prepared to move up to Red Bull Racing.

Earlier this week, Red Bull confirmed that the Australian would replace his compatriot Mark Webber next season after signing a multi-year deal with the reigning World Champs.

The announcement came as a "relief" to Ricciardo who has vowed to give Toro Rosso his all as his bids to say goodbye.

"It's a relief that there will be no more speculation and dodging questions," he said during Thursday's press conference at Monza. "Everyone knows what is happening now, including me, which is nice.

"Obviously I'm very pleased with the news but I have eight more races this year and I'm looking forward to giving Toro Rosso a nice farewell and putting all my energy into that."

The Toro Rosso driver also confirmed that the deal had not been done at the Belgian GP despite Mark Webber telling Channel 10 that weekend that a "decision's made" and that he was happy for his compatriot.

Ricciardo insisted: "In Spa, I still didn't know. I found out the following Wednesday - just a few days before the announcement. But I can confirm that at Spa I still didn't know."
