Daniil Kvyat, Torro Rosso's driver in 2014, will travel to Italy this week to complete a test in order to gain his Super Licence.

The 19-year-old Russian was announced a Daniel Ricciardo's replacement last month having won the GP3 championship earlier this year.

Since he has only completed a small amount of laps behind the wheel of a Formula One car, he has yet to qualify for a Super License, but he has been given the opportunity to drive a Torro Rosso car from 2011 this week in order to complete the 300km qualification criteria.

After last weekend's race in Abu Dhabi, Torro Rosso team principal Franz Tost revealed that they will give the teenager as much time as possible behind the wheel ahead of his F1 debut next year.

"We will have a test with him next week to get the Super Licence," Tost said.

"Afterwards, he will go out on Friday in America and in Sao Paulo and of course we will have winter time, where he has to do a lot of work with physical training, mental training, then working on the simulator to prepare him as good as possible for the next season. I'm convinced he will do a good job because he is a very high-skilled driver.

"For us, for Red Bull and for Toro Rosso, he is a very high-skilled driver and I think that he will have a successful future."
