Just two years after joining Toro Rosso, chief designer Luca Furbatto has reportedly parted ways with the team.
Furbatto joined the midfield outfit in December 2011 and worked closely with technical director James Key on the design of this year's STR9.
However, just weeks after the launch it has emerged that Furbatto, who previously worked for McLaren, has left the team with immediate effect.
And although Toro Rosso have yet to officially confirm the Italian's departure, team boss Franz Tost recently spoke of the influence Key was having on the team.
"James Key works in a different way," he told OmniCorse.
"Not a person to make small talk and of few words but he has good ideas, good strategies and is working on better integration between departments.
"Key has a clear vision of our goals in reorganising the structure."
