Massa: Kimi and Alonso will collide

Felipe Massa is the latest to warn there will be some tense moments at Ferrari next year following the decision to pair Fernando Alonso with Kimi Raikkonen.

The Italian stable will have the strongest line-up on the grid as they will have two former World Champions as team-mates, but it remains to be seen if the pair will work together well.

Seven-time World Champion and Ferrari legend Michael Schumacher has already warned "it will certainly mean fireworks" and Massa agrees there will be "collisions" at Maranello next year.

"I know both Fernando and Kimi on and off the track and I rate them as excellent drivers, but I'm afraid they will collide when sharing the team," he told Galvao Bueno on TV Globo.

"I told the bosses to breathe as much as possible while they still can because it will be hard for them to breathe next season."

Massa partnered Raikkonen at Ferrari from 2006 until 2009 while he has been Alonso's team-mate since 2010 so he certainly knows a thing or two about them.

"I'm sure Fernando likes me, he has to," he said. "We have a nice relationship, I'm sure he sees me as a personal friend as I see him.

"Kimi and myself are also good friends, much more than when we were team-mates."
