Massa has Ferrari in his sights

For many years Felipe Massa's main goal was to score as many points as possible for Ferrari, now his target is to take as many from them.

Racing for Williams after eight years with Ferrari, Massa's new team has made massive strides forward this season.

Now powered by Mercedes, Williams are well up on the five points they scored in 2013, having already secured 46 in five grands prix.

Up to fifth in the Championship and ahead of McLaren, Massa says the next target is Force India, who are 11 ahead, and after that it is Ferrari.

"Definitely this track is different to Monaco but I think the car was competitive [in Spain], maybe more than I expected," he told ESPN.

"I hope we can see a similar thing in Monaco and we are just pushing very hard to make more points compared to the teams we are fighting.

"With what Valtteri did we scored more points than Force India and McLaren, which was positive, as we passed McLaren in the Championship.

"We need to keep pushing like that and keep scoring points with both cars to get close to Force India and remember it can be possible to beat Ferrari.

"Maybe Red Bull as well, we need to believe everything is possible."

Meanwhile, Massa says he's hopeful that Williams have solved the tyre issues that blighted his Spanish Grand Prix.

In action on Day One of the recent Barcelona test, the Brazilian completed 55 laps and finished the day seventh quickest.

"I think so," he said when asked if the tyre problems had been resolved. "We did a run and had zero problems for degradation compared to the race.

"The only difference in the race was traffic, so that's something we really need to be ready for, especially races where we are going to be stuck behind."
