Kimi Raikkonen says if he is not first in the Drivers' Championship then he really doesn't care where he finishes.

With five races to go starting in Korea this weekend, the Lotus driver in third in the Championship, 37 points behind Fernando Alonso and 33 adrift of Sebastian Vettel.

However, unlike his rivals Raikkonen has yet to win a grand prix this season, something Lotus are hoping to change this weekend.

The team arrived at the Yeongam circuit with various updates for their E20, including a new Coanda-effect exhaust.

And Raikkonen is hoping they will boost his chances as he chases the number one stop in the Championship standings.

"It doesn't matter if I'm second or tenth. It makes no difference if you don't win," Raikkonen told Autosport. "We will see.

"If you had said this [third in the championship] at the beginning of the year we would have taken it but once you do a little bit well, you expect to do better and you want to do a lot better also.

"We will keep on trying and hopefully can improve."

The Finn, known for wanting to avoid public speaking, added as a joke: "I would rather be out of second or third place so I don't have to go to the prize-giving."
