Force India technical chief Mike Gascoyne has backed Adrian Sutil to bounce back after a difficult start to the new season.
Sutil failed to finish the opening two races of the season in Australia and Malaysia and then finished at the back of the pack in Bahrain.
Gascoyne believes Sutil has made plenty of progress this season despite his failure to finish the opening two races.
"Adrian has shown that he has the talent to be in Formula One and race at the highest levels, and he is making fewer and fewer mistakes as he grows in experience," he told the Press Trust of India.
"This year I think he will show he can be consistent and quick everywhere.
"The problems he has had so far this year have not been of his making; he had two mechanical DNFs in the first two races.
"In Bahrain, however, he was much closer to Giancarlo (Fisichella) and was pushing him.
"It was just unfortunate a racing accident stopped him being able to capitalise on this performance in the grand prix."
The Force India technical director admits he is delighted with his driver line-up.
"The driver line-up we have is the perfect driver line-up for Force India," he said.
"We obviously worked with Adrian last year and we know his talent and it is a good opportunity for him to have Giancarlo beside him.
"With Tonio Liuzzi as a test and reserve driver, I think we have the best driver line-up we could, with experienced and young, hungry drivers to push the team onwards."
