Kimi Raikkonen has confirmed that he will use his one free engine change at Silverstone this weekend.
The Ferrari driver's engine suffered some damage at the previous race in France due to a broken exhaust putting undue stress on the power unit, which was being used the first time.
Under last year's rules changing engines after just one race would have earned the Finn a ten-grid slot penalty, however, this season the regulations have been amended to allow all the drivers one free change.
And Raikkonen will be using his this weekend in Britain.
"I'll use a new engine because the team doesn't want to risk anything, although the rules say that you will not be punished if you have to change the engine," he told Autosport.
