Theissen slams Bernie's 'disgusting' comments

Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone's comments about his admiration for Adolf Hitler have been slammed as "disgusting" and "wrong" by BMW boss Mario Theissen.
Theissen is the first F1 figure to roundly condemn the 78-year-old after his remarks praising the Nazi leader for his ability "to get things done."
Ecclestone has since apologised unreservedly, in particular as he appreciates he has offended Jewish groups around the world.
It is understood Ecclestone will issue a further apology but German Theissen has been left far from enamoured with his such ill-chosen words.
"It's obviously wrong. Disgusting," said Theissen when asked for his reaction. "Apparently he was shocked himself when he was confronted by what he had said.
"He has, meanwhile, made some comments, and from what I have heard he will make some more comments as soon as he is here, and I think this is necessary."
Pushed as to whether he believed Ecclestone was out of order, Theissen replied: "Yes."

It boiled over into the main-stream news, not the tiny world of F1 enthusiests. Who knows how many angry e-mails BMW has received begging them to boycott the German grand prix ?
