Jenson Button has credited Ross Brawn with inspiring Honda's dramatic improvement.
Having spent the vast majority of winter testing at the bottom of the timesheets, the team have enjoyed unexpected success this season, culminating in Button finishing this weekend's Spanish GP in sixth place. Honda introduced another set of aerodynamic developments in testing last week and hopes are high that Brawn, appointed technical director in the winter, will make the team a credible force in the sport.
"We are never going to jump overnight to where the Ferraris are. We've come to keep the improvements going race by race. I'm very happy with the team," declared Button.
While Brawn has downplayed his own contribution in Honda's improved form, Button stressed: "Ross' technical management of the team has been very, very good. Everyone is very positive.
"The car was working very, very well," he continued. "We can learn a lot from this race, we got a lot of useful data for the races to come."
