Former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher finished 14th in his debut DTM race at the Hockenheimring on Sunday.
Following his departure from Toyota at the end of last season, Ralf left Formula One after failing to find a new race-seat.
However, the German wasn't without a job for long, being snapped up by Mercedes to race for them in the German Tour Car Masters (DTM).
The 32-year-old made his debut at the Hockenheimring on Sunday, finishing 14th out of 18 finishers.
"The important thing was to get a good feel for it," Ralf told Reuters of his debut, adding that he hopes to have better race for his Mercedes team next Sunday in Oschersleben.
"Every kilometre experience I get is good for me."
