Lotus Profile

One of Formula One's front running teams in recent years, Lotus F1 will be hoping for another leap forward in 2014.

Debut: 2012 Australian Grand Prix
Drivers' titles: 0
Constructors' titles: 0

Finding its origins in Toleman Motorsport, Benetton Formula and the Renault F1 Team, the core of Lotus knows how to win grands prix and even World titles having done so under the Renault brand in the 2000s.

That success, though, has not yet followed the team into its new era as the Lotus F1 Team.

The team has flirted with the front of the grid, winning a race in both seasons, however, a spate of podiums ensured Lotus - despite widely reported financial issues - finished fourth in the Championship.

This season, with those financial woes resolved after signing Pastor Maldonado and his PDVSA millions to partner Romain Grosjean, Lotus will be seeking another step forward.
