Vettel ‘torn’ over Abu Dhabi participation

Sebastian Vettel
Sebastian Vettel is racing in Abu Dhabi this weekend but admits he’d also like to “stay at home” given the birth of his third child.
Vettel’s wife Hanna gave birth to their third child, a son, earlier this week.
The Ferrari driver was excused from Thursday’s media commitments to spend time with his family before arriving at the Yas Marina circuit in time for Friday’s first practice.
He was fourth fastest on Friday before finishing Saturday’s final practice P5.
“Maybe this is the first weekend where the feeling is strongest that I would also like to stay at home,” Grandprix247 reports him as having told German broadcaster RTL.
“I want to bring the season to a good end, but at the same time of course I would like to be home with my wife so I am torn.”
Vettel revealed that mother and son are doing well.
“Everything went well and of course I am very, very happy,” he added.
“Thank God you can stay in touch these days, but I am torn.”
