I am a freelance sports writer tasked with bringing exclusive interviews, news and comment to PlanetF1.com and other Planet Sport platforms.
I joined the team back in March 2024. Prior to that I spent 25 years as rugby, athletics and Olympic sports correspondent for the Daily Mirror.
I have travelled the world extensively covering sport since first getting into the profession in 1985. This summer I am accompanying the England rugby team to Argentina and the United States for their end-of-season tour.
I was born in London and went to Roehampton College before joining the Dimbleby Newspaper Group. From there I worked for the Hayters Sports Agency, the Exchange Telegraph agency and the Press Association.
I spent three years helping run a freelance sports agency in Glasgow, covering primarily golf, rugby and football, before moving to Fleet Street, first with TODAY Newspaper, then the Daily Express.
My career also includes a number of sports books, including ghosting the autobiographies of England rugby players Austin Healey, Matt Dawson and Mike Catt.
