Aitken, Markelov drafted in for Pirelli tests
Formula 2 racers Jack Aitken and Artem Markelov will carry out a tyre test for Pirelli this week, driving the Renault RS18 at Suzuka.
Throughout this season Pirelli have conducted blind tyre tests aimed at developing their 2019 rubber.
This week it is Renault’s turn.
The French team will be in action at the Suzuka circuit on Tuesday and Wednesday with Aitken and Markelov doing the driving duties.

Aitken is the team’s test and reserve driver while Markelov has the role of development driver.
This season Pirelli have been permitted 25 days of private testing in current-spec cars with data gathered during the tests shared with all the teams.
