AlphaTauri have become the latest team to announce the date for their 2023 car unveiling and, as things stand, they will be the first to do so.

The Italian team said they will showcase the 2023 car on February 11 in New York City which is two days before Aston Martin and three days ahead of Ferrari.

They have also confirmed the car’s name will be the AT04.

It will be the first car Nyck de Vries drives competitively for the team having joined Red Bull’s sister outfit following Pierre Gasly’s move to Alpine.

Having waited in the paddock for a number of years, De Vries did admit his life had changed now that he had been given his chance.

“Things have changed a bit since Monza,” De Vries told the Dutch edition of Motorsport.com in Mexico City.

“Last night I was almost besieged at my hotel and this morning they even had to call in security.

“I’m living my dream, this is what I have worked all my life for. This is what I am enjoying, of course. This is what I have done everything for.

“The realisation of all that has happened and all that is going to happen is there, but will perhaps come more during the winter months.”

The Dutchman also has new representation having signed a manager to look after his business affairs. De Vries has hired the services of Guillaume Le Goff, who also represents Gasly, having previously performed this duty himself.

AlphaTauri will hope the 2023 car proves better than the 2022 edition following a P9 finish.
