Like sister team Red Bull, New York City was also the destination of choice for AlphaTauri as they revealed their AT04 livery to the world.

The event, which took the form of a short video, would begin with a montage of the AT04 in its design and painting process, all while the team’s 2023 drivers Yuki Tsunoda and Nyck de Vries got prepped for a photoshoot in their fresh overalls, Tsunoda getting plenty of attention with the make-up brush!

And as drivers and AT04 made their way to New York City, there the covers were taken off to reveal the livery of the AT04, featuring what has become the iconic dark blue and white of AlphaTauri, with striking splashes of red to mark the new multi-year partnership with sponsor Orlen.

AlphaTauri are heading into one of the most important seasons in their history in F1 2023, one where expectations are high, especially within Red Bull.

Hopes of battling it out at the front of the midfield in 2022 at no stage came close to becoming reality, AlphaTauri ultimately finishing ahead of only Williams in the final 2022 standings.

That result certainly did not sit well with Red Bull advisor and driver programme boss Helmut Marko, who made it clear that the AlphaTauri team fell below expectations, and hinted that changes were being considered.

To this point, no drastic action has been taken, but the team without doubt will be feeling the weight of expectation, and will be desperate for the AT04 to be the challenger that fires them back up the pecking order in Formula 1. recommends

And the past comments of Pierre Gasly, their now former driver, would suggest that internally AlphaTauri also have confidence in the AT04.

Now lining-up for Alpine, Gasly said previously that AlphaTauri had described the AT04 to him as the best challenger they have had yet. Everyone at AlphaTauri and Red Bull will very much hope that this proves to be the case.

Gasly’s place at AlphaTauri has been taken by De Vries, who now has the chance to prove himself over a full F1 season for the first time, having impressed with his one-off appearance at the 2022 Italian GP with Williams.
