With over 750,000 views on Instagram, a video of Daniel Ricciardo driving a tractor couldn’t be any further from his day job if he tried.
As countries around the world go into lockdown, Ricciardo is spending his extended break at home at the family farm in Australia.
And he’s doing what farm boys do.
The Renault F1 driver posted a video of himself driving around in one of his father’s tractors while singing along.
The video has been viewed more than three quarters of a million times on Instagram.
Answering questions in a Renault Q and A, the Aussie explained he was just being a “kid” on a farm.
“Dad’s livelihood is earth moving so he has driven those pretty much his whole life. That’s his business,” he said.
“They prepare all the land to build house, the levels and stuff like that.
“They had a spare on the side, it’s a bit of an older one, but they leave it on the farm so I can build things and be a kid.
“I’ll do training and whatever and then I’m not training every hour of the day, when I’ve got some free time I get on that.
“It’s pretty fun.”
