Two rumours about Haas have been laid to rest in the build-up to the German GP with Romain Grosjean still at the team, and Haas still sponsored by ‘Rich Energy’.

Following the team’s double DNF at the British GP, the result of Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen colliding on the opening lap, the F1 rumour mill claimed that the Frenchman was set to be fired.

That, though, doesn’t look to be true with Grosjean featuring in the team’s German GP preview.

“I go to Hockenheim with the same objective as always,” said the driver. “I’m always trying to do my best, get a good race and be proud of what you’ve done. If it’s a top-10, great. But if it’s not, you’ve given your maximum.”

Grosjean’s dismissal is not the only rumour Haas laid to rest in the preview.

The team will continue to run as the ‘Rich Energy Haas F1 Team’ despite Rich Energy Limited’s new management registering the name ‘Lightning Volt Limited’ hours of the ousting of former Rich Energy CEO Williams Storey.
