The latest F1 2023 results are in, with FP2 at the Canadian Grand Prix having taken place on Friday at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
While a CCTV syncing issue halted FP1 after only a few minutes, FP2 was extended to be 90 minutes long in order for the drivers to make up for lost time around the track later in the day.
But while most of the drivers were able to get more laps under their belts this time around, multiple red flags interrupted the session once again, with Nico Hulkenberg and Esteban Ocon both suffering with car issues and bringing out red flags in the first half of FP2 alone.
Still, there was plenty of time for the drivers to get out and get as much running as possible, with the threat of rain present in the closing stages.
It was the Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell that showed their hand in terms of having solid qualifying pace, with the two British drivers topping the session ahead of the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz and Aston Martin of Fernando Alonso.
Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez were P6 and P8 respectively, with Valtteri Bottas also ranking an impressive P7 for Alfa Romeo during the session on Friday.
