F1 2023 results: FP3 timings from Miami Grand Prix practice

Charles Leclerc during a practice session. Miami, May 2023.
Max Verstappen began Saturday’s running in the perfect way possible as he topped the timesheets in the final practice session.
In their last running before the all-important qualifying, the drivers were making the final touches to their setups ahead of the quali session later in the day.
To that end, it was Verstappen who will feel most confident as he aims for his third pole position as he topped the times with a 1:27.535, 0.406 seconds ahead of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc.
The Dutchman took the lead early on and never looked in trouble of losing it as other drivers failed to improve significantly.
It was an encouraging session for the Alpines with Esteban Ocon in P5 and his team-mate Pierre Gasly just one spot behind.
Carlos Sainz ended in P4 while it was a disappointing hour for Mercedes with George Russell in P10 and Lewis Hamilton in P13.
Although the sessions went without a red flag, it was not entirely smooth sailing with increased winds causing more than one driver to head off course.
