The latest set of F1 2023 results are in, with FP3 having taken place for the Monaco Grand Prix around Monte Carlo.

After a full day of action on Friday, FP3 gave the drivers one final hour to get their eyes in for qualifying around Monaco, one of the toughest but most rewarding challenges on the Formula 1 calendar for those who can get it right.

Track evolution was a significant factor during the session as the drivers began to find time as the minutes progressed, with all 20 members of the grid looking to find space for a flying lap.

Both Red Bulls came to the fore once again in the session, with Max Verstappen narrowly top from team-mate Sergio Perez, ahead of the Aston Martin of Lance Stroll.

Fernando Alonso, who hopes to be in the hunt for pole, was a second off the pace after losing a significant chunk of time in the first sector on his qualifying simulation, so his position may not be reflective of where he wants to end up later on Saturday.

With the session heading into the final few minutes, Lewis Hamilton set the fastest first sector of anybody before suffering a snap of oversteer on his way into Mirabeau, sending him on into the wall on the exit.

The seven-time World Champion tried to get himself clear of trouble, but damage was confirmed and the red flags were brought out and ended the session slightly early, with the Mercedes driver eighth in the session.
