F1 results: FP3 timings from British Grand Prix practice

Ferrari's Charles Leclerc at the British Grand Prix. Silverstone, July 2023.
Here are the complete results from the rain-affected third practice session at Silverstone ahead of the British Grand Prix.
Charles Leclerc set the pace in the final practice session at Silverstone, with the hour’s running compromised as a result of rain hitting the track midway through the session.
The Ferrari driver popped in a 1:27.419 on the soft compound Pirelli shortly before the deluge began, with drivers trying to get in some fast qualifying simulations before the imminent rain arrived.
Leclerc led the way ahead of Williams’ Alex Albon, who continued to show impressive dry weather pace after a stellar Friday performance. His car had a minor electrical issue just before practice began, but the team repaired it in time for him to get on track.
Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso was third, with all the leading drivers getting sufficient time to pop in a quick lap on the softs. Championship leader Max Verstappen was eighth quickest, but only ran the mediums during the opening phase of practice.
With the rain intensifying throughout the hour, the track fell much quieter, although most of the drivers reappeared for a reconnaissance lap or two on the intermediate tyre to evaluate their performance around Silverstone.
