Ferrari and Alfa Romeo confirm Schumacher test

Mick Schumacher will have his first taste of Formula 1 next week when he tests for Ferrari and Alfa Romeo in Bahrain.
Earlier this week reports emerged claiming that Schumacher, the son of seven-time F1 World Champion Michael, was preparing for his first-ever F1 run.
That has now been confirmed.
Schumacher will test the Ferrari SF90 on Tuesday at the Sakhir circuit before moving onto Alfa Romeo for the second day.
“I am obviously more than excited and would like to thank Alfa Romeo Racing for giving me this opportunity,” he said in a press release from Alfa Romeo.
“I am really looking forward to what I’m sure will be a great experience.”
However, before Schumacher’s F1 test he will be in action in Formula 2, contesting his first race in the series.
He added: “For the moment, I am consciously putting all thoughts of the test to one side, because I am also very much looking forward to competing in my first F2 race and would like to focus a hundred percent on the weekend to come.”
British Formula 2 driver and Academy member Callum Ilott will test for Alfa Romeo on Day One of the two-day test.
