Formula 1 2022 results – Sao Paulo Grand Prix: FP2

Alpine driver Esteban Ocon runs in free practice at Interlagos. Sao Paulo November 2022.
Esteban Ocon topped FP2 at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix with long runs the focus for the teams, and the outright results perhaps not telling the full story on pace.
With qualifying having already taken place on Friday, with Kevin Magnussen earning his first career pole position in euphoric fashion in mixed conditions at Interlagos, it is clear race pace was the focus throughout the session for most of the field, given the significantly slower lap times on show than in FP1.
Logan Sargeant replaced Alex Albon at Williams as he looked to gain another point towards his FIA Super Licence, which would help him guarantee his seat at the team in 2023.
Sprint qualifying is set to come later in the day, with another hour of practice now under the belts of the drivers around Sao Paulo.
