Hamilton withdraws from Italian GP media day

Lewis Hamilton won’t attended Mercedes’ media commitments at Monza on Thursday due to an “unavoidable personal commitment.”

Although the reigning World Champion was not scheduled to attended Thursday’s FIA driver press conferences, he would have still had various media outings on the cards with Mercedes.

He’ll be skipping those.

According to the Mercedes team, Hamilton won’t arrive in Italy until Thursday evening due to an “unavoidable personal commitment”.

The team did not reveal what that commitment was.
