Kubica: No Haas talks ‘at the moment’
Robert Kubica has said he is not currently in talks with Haas as silly season rumours continue for the 2019 campaign.
Kubica still retains hope of rejoining the Formula 1 grid on a full-time basis after missing out on a Williams drive in 2018 and having to settle for a reserve role with the team.
The Pole has been linked with a move to Force India with Lance Stroll as his team-mate, while rumours of a move to Haas emerged over the course of the German Grand Prix weekend.
But Kubica is not entertaining any of the gossip currently circling around the paddock.
“I do not read gossip,” Kubica told Eleven Sports at Hockenheim.
“I have always preferred to do things quietly. I am having some conversations, but not with Haas. At the moment I am not talking to them.”
As for whether Stroll is leaving for Force India, he added: “I do not know if Lance (Stroll) is going there, so at the moment it’s pointless to look ahead and create stories.
“I’m not saying yes and I’m not saying no about who I’m talking to.
“It won’t be easy, because many young drivers with big budgets and opportunities want to get into F1, and there are teams that require money.
“So there are some limits and some that end there.”
