Lando Norris should be heading home this week having completed his quarantine in Dubai after testing positive for Covid-19 in early January.

Norris visited Dubai for his holiday ahead of pre-season training only to test positive once he was in the country.

The Brit went into quarantine, spending 14 days inside his hotel room.

Norris not only lost his sense of taste and smell but also felt under the weather for a few days as he recovered from the virus.

With his quarantine period over, McLaren say he is expected to head back to England this week but he will first have to return a negative test before being allowed to fly.

Once home, he will isolate close to the team’s factory in Woking, only heading to work if absolutely necessary.

Norris informed McLaren and his fans on social media of his positive test on January 5th.

He is one of five drivers to contract the illness with Sergio Perez missing two races last season while Lance Stroll and Lewis Hamilton both sat out on grand prix.

Charles Leclerc is the fifth driver and is currently self-isolating at his home in Monaco after he tested positive earlier this month.
