Alpine are unveiling their first Formula 1 challenger, the A521, in a launch event from Paris, and fans can watch it live!
With the arrival of new Groupe Renault CEO Luca de Meo came a renewed focus on Formula 1 from the French manufacturer.
There was speculation that Renault would withdraw from the sport in the face of cost cuts throughout the company, but instead de Meo oversaw the rebranding of their Formula 1 team to Alpine, representing their high-performance division.
Esteban Ocon remains with the team for this transition, but on the other side of the garage will be a familiar name of Renault’s past, that being Fernando Alonso who won both of his World Championships with the team back in 2005 and 2006.
There have also been changes above driver level, with Cyril Abiteboul departing, making way for a new management team of Laurent Rossi and Davide Brivio.
Alpine have been using a special winter livery during the off season, one which is predominantly black with splashes of red, white and blue, but now we all get to see the real thing!
Sadly Alonso will not be at the launch of the A521 as he continues his recovery from a cycling accident, but fear not, Alpine are promising to bring us a Q and A with the two-time champ.
And fans can watch the launch LIVE from the link below. The action in Paris gets underway from 1500 GMT:
