McLaren have confirmed a multi-year extension to their partnership with data firm Splunk Inc for 2021 and beyond.
Splunk first linked up with McLaren in 2020 “to deploy its Data-to-Everything platform, helping to enhance performance across the McLaren Racing team by bringing data to action for every question and decision on and off the track”.
And with a multi-year agreement now signed, Splunk will continue to serve as an “Official Technology Partner of the McLaren F1 team and McLaren Group”.
Speaking to the McLaren website, McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown said: “Over the past year, our work with Splunk has been incredibly beneficial to our team.
“In the fast-paced and technology-rich environment of Formula 1, data is a core element to our team and integral to how we operate effectively and efficiently.
“We are delighted to extend our partnership with Splunk, enabling us to continue deploying their expertise and Data-to-Everything platform, providing our team with valuable insights to strengthen our operations and performance.”

McLaren head into the 2021 season with ambitions of building on what was a solid campaign for the team in 2020.
With two podium finishes to their name, McLaren secured P3 in the 2020 Constructors’ Championship, their best showing since 2012.
And although Carlos Sainz has moved on to Ferrari, McLaren are full of optimism having gained the services of seven-time race winner Daniel Ricciardo who makes the switch from Renault.
