‘Tis the season to be jolly, apparently. Try telling that to a Formula 1 fan who has to wait until March to see cars go racing again.

But, fear not, for we have plenty of reading material for you to help pass some precious minutes and hours before that fresh smell of a new season begins to waft around our nostrils.

Since the season finished in Abu Dhabi, which now feels like a million years ago, we have dissected the 2022 campaign that still had plenty of intriguing moments and storylines despite Max Verstappen and Red Bull running away with it on track (it did, honest).

We have revealed our top 10 drivers of the season…and our bottom 10 drivers (no prizes for guessing who was P1 and P20 on those particular lists), as well as our overall conclusions from the F1 2022 season as the new regulations started to settle in.

There is a full rundown of how the silliest of silly seasons played out all thanks to Sebastian Vettel deciding to retire from Formula 1, and a look at where his former boss Mattia Binotto could end up following his resignation at Ferrari.

In terms of exclusive content, there is plenty to choose from here, too. We were incredibly fortunate to go on factory tours at McLaren and Aston Martin’s new £200m base which is well on the way to being completed.

Sam Cooper had a chat with the next billionaire hoping to own a Formula 1 team , while Henry Valantine caught up with Paddy Lowe to discuss his new fuel project which could see him return to the F1 circle.

Thomas Maher also had a natter with Williams driver Alex Albon as he continues to rebuild his F1 career following his axing as Max Verstappen’s team-mate at Red Bull.

And here a handful of intriguing articles that may just pique your interest:

Ferrari Driver Academy: What has happened to every former Scuderia prospect?

F1 team principals: How long has each team boss been in charge?

The eight most expensive penalties in F1 history: Which team has paid the largest amount?

Oh, and if you fancy a laugh, go and revisit our F1 2022 predictions…

From all here at PlanetF1.com, we would like to wish each and everyone one of you a very Merry Christmas…and a happy New Year, too, whilst we’re at it.

We hope you have enjoyed our coverage throughout the year and we look forward to doing it all over again next year. Hopefully we can keep changing for the better, maybe starting with a new look…

That red is starting to look a little worn out and tired now, don’t you think?
