F1 2023 preview and Bahrain GP predictions: Ferrari to win Constructors’ title?
Max Verstappen may have one hand on the World title even before the first race of the season such was Red Bull’s dominance last season, but there is some hope for Ferrari that they can finally end their long title drought.
PlanetF1.com’s Sam Cooper sat down for the latest episode on the newly-launched Formula 1 channel, On Track GP, to put forward predictions for the 2023 season which begins this weekend in Bahrain.
But while the general consensus is Mercedes will close the gap to the top two, Red Bull and Ferrari, even taking a few wins along the way, the Drivers’ and Constructors’ could be split between Red Bull and Ferrari.
Last season Red Bull bagged the double, but this year one part of the On Track GP panel reckons Ferrari could pip them to the teams’ title as they have the stronger driver line-up in Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.
As for the drivers’ top three, Cooper is backing Verstappen, Leclerc, Hamilton, Matisse has gone with Verstappen, Hamilton, Leclerc while Joe Ashman has two Ferrari drivers inside his top three.
