Kimi Raikkonen dabs his way to P5 on the grid for the German Grand Prix.

Kimi Raikkonen will start the German Grand Prix from P5, and he celebrated with a cheeky dab.

The Alfa Romeo driver will go in search of a fourth consecutive points finish when he and the other 19 drivers are let loose around the Hockenheimring, but for now the Finn was content to show off his dabbing credentials.

How much of a say The Iceman had in this celebration we will never know, but Raikkonen did tell the roaming reporters that he could have gone even faster in qualifying.

“I think we could have done a faster lap but I don’t know what the times are and if it made any difference or not, but we will take it,” he explained.

Following the deletion of Pierre Gasly’s fastest Q3 time, Raikkonen missed out on P4 by 0.016s, but he does think it will be a tough ask to hang with the top guys on Sunday.

“I don’t know. We will have to see how the conditions are tomorrow,” he said when asked if a podium was possible with rain forecast.

“In the pure race pace I think it’s impossible to say where we are, but it would be very difficult to fight against the big teams.

“But we will do our best and whatever we get we get.”
