Raikkonen: ‘Well that was a s*** weekend’

'Well that was a s*** weekend" reflects Kimi Raikkonen after a disastrous Italian GP.
As perfectly summed up by Kimi Raikkonen himself, the Italian Grand Prix really did prove to be a “s*** weekend” for the Alfa Romeo driver.
The 2007 World Champion brought out the red flags in FP1 as he tried to step on the power through the Parabolica, only for the car to completely snap out of his control under damp conditions.
But this proved to be only the start of his woes.

The red flags would come out again for Raikkonen on Saturday during Q3 after he sent his C38 backwards into the barrier at, you guessed it, the Parabolica.
This would result in a pit-lane start for the Finn after Alfa changed the gearbox and the engine, but things deteriorated even further during the race when Raikkonen was handed a ten-second stop/go penalty for starting the race on the wrong tyres.
And in true Kimi fashion, this is how he summed it up to the Alfa Romeo press team themselves.
Kimi 🗣 “Well that was a sh** weekend. First my mistake in qualifying which unfortunately meant that we had to change gearbox. Then we decided to also change engine and start from the pitlane but we had the wrong tyres. Looking forward to Singapore, as it can’t get worse.” 🇸🇬 pic.twitter.com/QYerjRIf4R

Raikkonen would finish the Italian GP in P15 while team-mate Antonio Giovinazzi secured P9 to give Alfa Romeo’s Constructors’ standings total a slight boost to 34 points.
