Revised Singapore GP grid, Daniel Ricciardo to the rear

Daniel Ricciardo will start Sunday’s Singapore Grand Prix at the very back of the grid after being thrown out of qualifying for a power breach.

The Aussie’s RS19 was found to “exceeded the MGU-K power limit of 120kW”, resulting in him being disqualified from qualifying.

Ricciardo, though, will still be permitted to race at the stewards’ discretion. He is also taking a new MGU-K and control electronics, which translates to a 10-place penalty, but it will make no difference given he is starting from the back anyway.

At the other end of the grid is Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc who claimed a surprise pole position ahead of Lewis Hamilton.

Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen make up the second row of the grid.

The only other driver to be penalised, at least for now, is Sergio Perez who has a five-place gearbox penalty after his FP3 crash.

He will start P15.
