Williams have confirmed the Royal Bank of Canada as their latest new sponsor ahead of the 2020 season.

Nicholas Latifi, who will partner George Russell at Williams for 2020, became an RBC ambassador back in 2014 and will now bring them with him to the Williams team.

Williams have confirmed that RBC branding will appear on the nose of both Latifi and Russell’s FW43’s, while it will also be featured throughout the team’s garage and hospitality areas, on teamwear and the drivers’ race suits.

Speaking to the Williams website, deputy team principal Claire Williams said: “We are delighted that RBC has partnered with the team for the 2020 season.

“Formula One is a sport on a world stage and we’re proud to partner with a global financial institution that is passionate about helping young athletes achieve success in all forms of sport.”

Matt McGlynn, vice president of brand marketing for RBC added: “Unlocking the potential of youth and young athletes is a priority at RBC, and this partnership will allow us to continue to support talented Canadian racer Nicholas Latifi as he makes his debut this spring with Formula One.

“We look forward to working with our partners at ROKiT Williams Racing in 2020 and cheering on Nicholas from his home country.”

The team have also confirmed new sponsorship deals with Lavazza and Sofina Foods for the 2020 season.
