With three wins on the trot, including a surprise P1 in Singapore, Sebastian Vettel says Ferrari have found the “balance” with their SF90.
The Scuderia arrived on the 2019 grid as the team to beat having topped the timesheets in pre-season testing.
However, it quickly went downhill.
While Mercedes marched to eight on the trot, Ferrari struggled to find the perfect balance with their SF90.
Although their engine was firmly at the front of the pack, the SF90 was lacking in corner speed.
As such it was no surprise that the Scuderia marched to the victory at Spa and Monza, however, Vettel’s Singapore triumph was unexpected.
The German led home Ferrari’s first 1-2 in two years and reckons it was all down to finding the perfect balance.
“The balance found in the last few races helps us more than the update itself,” Vettel told the Italian media.
“The front and back work much better together and this helps us in terms of performance.”
